How to regain control of your life, in 8 keys

When you realize that the hell where you are (like the one I detailed in a previous article) is not what you want and you start to take distance and walk away, There are several things you could do to recover those resources and strengths that we all have ; what allows us to get ahead and refloat the well in which we are immersed, recovering more strongly and firmly all our potential, our internal power.

What will facilitate us, at last, resurface from the ashes and reinvent ourselves.

Returning to take control of your life

These are some of the elements that can help us gain greater autonomy:

1. Return to your origins

You will notice how the people who love you and that at some point you left behind, your parents, brothers, friends ... are expectant, waiting, eager to offer you a space, to be able to help you and provide that support that allows you to walk forward. Do not be afraid to knock on your door, because you are waiting for that step.


2. Take walks in the mountains or in the countryside

Nature has a powerful stress-reducing effect, calms the nervous system, restores attention ... your contact has a moderating effect, it allows us to feel our interior deeply and enter a state of peace that at this moment is what you really need.

3. Tell someone you care about your experiences

Do not deny what you have lived, do not minimize the damage suffered . That will allow you to get rid of that burden and again feel complicity with the other. In addition, open your heart and share your experiences and the pain that some of them have generated you will make it easier to look at yourself in a sweeter, subtler and more pleasant mirror with yourself, and relocate each scene in its place, clean and heal memories and experiences .


4. Seek professional help

So that you can come to understand everything that you have lived, what is what led you to that situation and what is it that you should do and know about yourself so as not to repeat it? In this way you can restore yourself and release the accumulated suffering, the feeling of loss by broken illusions, guilt, anger, frustration ... It is also necessary that you take responsibility for your life and your decisions, with this I I mean that you are the owner of yourself, of the roads you travel, of how you relate to the environment, how you react to the events that happen to you ...

Assume the consequences that derive from them, that will allow you to better manage your life and your experiences , will give you power over yourself. And, if there is something in your way of acting that you do not like or generates stress or confusion: work it out, learn new ways, modify it.


5. Learn to meditate

For example with Mindfulness, Focusing, Chi Kung (or any other meditation technique that you feel comfortable with). It will help you keep the intrusive and negative thoughts that come out of control at bay. Practicing full presence will make it easier for you to be here and now , not to project excessively towards the future, nor to stay stuck in the memories of the past. These tools favor states of serene calm and help you enjoy the present moment, allowing you to see every moment in all its splendor.

6. Look for activities that are meaningful

Things that you like to do and give you great satisfaction . Paint, dance, write, sing ... The arts have the honor and particularity of allowing us to explore the emotional world and transform it almost without realizing it!

7. Give yourself a gift

Get a massage, go to a spa, buy something you like ... How long have you not dedicated yourself for a moment? How long have you not taken care of yourself, not spoiled? Obséquiate!

8. Allow yourself a tribute

You have taken a very important step and with powerful implications for you and your near future. You should allow it to celebrate properly to turn the page completely ; rituals have the ability to transmit importance and transform acts, elevate them, give them connotations of reality and strength. Go out to dinner at a place you like, or plan a special trip, if you can be with friends, so that you can feel the wonder of sharing life and experiences with others. So you can close the circle, seal that stage and open another one with all the honors!
